Where is September by the River located?
September by the River will be held at Freeport’s Riverside Park along the Allegheny River and Riverside Drive.

When is September by the River?
September by the River will be held Saturday, September 17 from 12-8 PM and Sunday, September 18 from 10 AM-4 PM.

Where is event parking?
Street parking is available throughout Freeport Borough. Please note that Riverside Drive between 4th and 6th Streets will be closed for the duration of the event.

Is this a free event?
This event is free to the public — no admission is charged, and many of the activities and entertainment are free.

Is this a family-friendly event?
Yes, September by the River is a family-friendly event with activities, entertainment, and vendors for family members of all ages.

Are pets allowed at September by the River?
As long as your pets are leashed, they are permitted along Riverside Drive but not in Riverside Park. We will have a water bowl, treats, and waste bags at the Welcome Tent.

Will alcohol be served?
Alcohol is not permitted in Riverside Park.

Is there live entertainment?
There will be live entertainment throughout the two-day event, including live music, dance performances, a magician, and more. Please see our full schedule of events.

Where can I find event updates?
Our Facebook event page or website are the best places to find updates on vendors, entertainment, and more for September by the River.

Will there be food for sale?
Yes, there will be multiple food vendors on-site during the event, and many of the restaurants in town will also be open throughout the weekend. Please visit our vendor list to see which food vendors will be attending.

I have young children, what is there for them to do?

The Freeport Kiwanis Club will have spin art and a fish pond and the Freeport VFD, Freeport EMS, and Worthington TruckWorx will have touch-a-truck. Magician Ray Lucas will be performing at 2 PM on Saturday. We will also have the Children’s Cove on the lower level of the park, which includes various fall-inspired games, like a pumpkin ring toss, a mini pumpkin balance relay, pumpkin rock painting, and large jenga.

Where are the restrooms?
We will have two portable toilets, including a handicap toilet, at the end of Riverside Park toward 6th Street.

Is the event ADA compliant?
We have adjusted the event layout to accommodate attendees better. We also have a handicap toilet at the left side of the park.

What if vendors only accept cash?
There will be an ATM on site. It is located near the gazebo in Riverside Park.

Is there somewhere I can change and nurse my young child at the event?

Yes! Sarver MOPS (Moms of Preschoolers) will have a comfort tent with a diaper changing station, a private feeding area for parents to nurse or bottle feed, and an activity table for kids. The tent will be at Space #1 on our event map (the left side of the park) both Saturday and Sunday.
